becoming a queen
Queens are she-cats who are expecting kits. In the clans, apprentices and medicine cats are not allowed to have mates, so warriors alone may become queens. Female rogues, loners, and kittypets may take a mate as early as 6 moons old.
Here, we do not allow no-mate pregnancies. This means you cannot create a pregnant queen and you cannot make a current cat get pregnant without a mate. Out-of-character, there must be a known mate, although in-character, queens aren't required to reveal their mate's identity.
So, if you want to have kits, you must have a mate. In order to claim a cat as a mate, you must have two completed threads together, at least one of which features them as a couple/mates. Do not show the actual mating and do not get graphic leading up to the mating.
However, this is a mature site, and we all know that not everyone has intimate relationships before conceiving. We do allow one-night stands or, in the case of our more gruesome characters, rapes, to conceive kittens. In both cases, both cats' roleplayers must agree to the IC scenario, and only one completed thread showing the two cats together before the mating is necessary. Again, do not show the actual mating and do not graphic leading up to it.
Note: These cases must be pre-approved by an admin.
Other special cases, such as apprentices and medicine cats who wish to take mates, must also be pre-approved by an admin.

Once your character & another have mated and have PMed a mod or admin, the parents and a staff member will decide together on the due date of the cats. It must be at least two weeks after the mating thread closes. However, if you wish to take things slower and RP your character as an expecting queen, a later due date can be arranged.
Staff decides on the number, gender, and possible deformities of kits, although parents may choose the appearance (try to be as logical as possible, please). Once these details are decided, the parents can choose names for the kits. If they are warriors, please make them be logical and adhere to the name rules for warriors.
When it comes time to give birth, you may choose to have a (non-graphic) kitting thread to celebrate the birth of the kits in-character. Out-of-character, the litter will be announced and put up for adoption. The parents can work together to decide who will roleplay each kit.
In most cases, the she-cat must remain a queen to nurse and raise the kits until they leave the nursery.
