Hello all! We are finally holding high positions auditions. PLEASE BE ACTIVE. Members that hold high positions must remain active, or the site can be negatively affected. For these auditions, just copy the posting code, fill out the information for your character, and post it in this thread. There isn't an exact deadline yet for these auditions, but one will be added soon once we can gauge how many people are auditioning. You can audition for any of these high positions with either an already created character, or you can create a new one. You do not need to make a bio before auditioning. If your character is chosen, you would have to make the bio then.
Notice that it would be very rare for a young cat to be chosen as deputy when there are much older and more experienced cats. Leaders & deputies must be at least 35 moons.

Name: Rainstar
Age: 50
Gender: Female
Clan: ShadowClan
Personality:
The first impression one has of Rainstar is of a grumpy, antisocial cat, one who does not indulge in casual chatter, play or frivolity of any kind. She is a serious, no-nonsense kind of leader, with a scowl that can make even the cockiest young warrior quail and send any kit running for their mother, and young ShadowClan cats soon learn to feel her wrath, should they step out of bounds; she’s not above giving a clout around the ears if she feels it’s deserved. She’s not entirely a killjoy; she doesn’t care if other cats play in camp, so long as they snap to attention the moment she calls for a patrol, or for any other task she wants completing. Unsurprisingly, Rainstar does not hesitate when it comes to discipline, and a misdemeanour will find one landed with all the least pleasant chores, if not worse.
But for all this, Rainstar is not a recluse by any means. She is a very active leader, frequently leading border patrols and hunting parties, and is not in the least shy of addressing the Clan to make announcements. These she typically delivers with an air of seriousness brushed with a hint of sarcasm, for though most don’t realise it, she does have something of a sense of humour and is prone to slipping little jokes into her speech that only those very close to her will understand. Nevertheless, while Rainstar is happy to interact with all Clanmates in these formal settings, she does not socialise with them, and does not share her motives, thoughts or fears with them. These she saves for only a few of her oldest and most trusted warriors, the deputy included, this small group of cats containing the only ones whose council she hears, and who in turn hear her stratagems, concerns and many musings. She spends long stretches of time cloistered with them, almost always one at a time, sharing tongues while she talks over a proposed solution to a problem, or a plan to improve ShadowClan’s standing in the Forest.
Rainstar is a very good hunter and an excellent fighter, and she takes part in hunts and patrols not only because she feels that a leader should contribute to their Clan materially but also because she just plain enjoys it. She’s not especially blood-thirsty; she does not love violence, though she does not fear it either, but she does enjoy doing something skilfully. There is a deep satisfaction to be had in putting together seasons of training in a single moment with a perfect pounce on an unfortunate vole, or an elegant leap out of enemy’s grasp that simultaneously slashes them with hind claws. She came by her skills the hard way, through failed hunts and battle-wounds, and all the visceral fear has long since been bled out of her. Short on neither courage nor brawn, she is a fearsome opponent in both true battle and in sparring.
But to say that Rainstar does not know fear would be a lie, for although she is down to earth and straightforward in her thinking, not given to fretting or anxiety, whenever she looks out upon her Clan and sees these cats that she loves so dearly arrayed around her, she cannot help but feel a knot of concern in her chest. She may not be an affectionate or sociable leader, but Rainstar is both diligent and dutiful, very aware of the responsibilities of her position, and not even for a moment would she let herself forget where her loyalty lies. She lives and dies for the Clan; its success is her success, its failure is her failure, and every moment spent idol is one that could be spent bettering the Clan in some way
When it comes to the other Clans, Rainstar is mostly ambivalent. She wishes to preserve the tentative peace currently trying to survive in the forest, because more peace means less of her Clanmates get injured (although it also means less chance for battle training, which she makes up for by ordering frequent vigorous sparring – not trying hard enough means you have to face her), but she also doesn’t particularly want to be friendly with them either. So long as they keep to their territory and don’t otherwise insult ShadowClan, she’ll leave them be. Make no mistake though, while Rainstar does not enjoy war, she’s not afraid of it, and she will have her warriors fiercely defend the Clan’s lands if needed.
Why your cat would be the perfect candidate: Perfect? Rainstar isn’t perfect and she never will be. She’s an excellent hunter and warrior, and she became a deputy almost purely because the former leader thought she’d be a good example for the younger warriors. That leader died unexpectedly early and bam, there she was, a leader. She has many faults, but her major plus side is that she would give all seven of her remaining lives for the Clan, and is very much set on helping it grow and flourish. She’d be a competent, but not faultless leader, one with many quirks but one that fundamentally knows what needs to be done and has the will to do it.
RP Sample:
((Set approximately 4 seasons ago, very shortly before she became the leader. With the exception of Nightstrike (who will be mentioned in her history), the names are mostly throwaways and it can be assumed that those cats died in battle if they would otherwise cause inconsistencies)
Rainfur stirred and opened her eyes as the first rays of dawn drifted through the tangled roots of the den, squeezing her eyes shut tight and then opening to reveal the burnt orange irises. There was an unexpected weight leaning against her flank, and turning her head she blinked at the black form of Nighststrike, her sort-of mate sleeping beside her. For a moment she pinned her ears back, a little confused by this unexpected over-familiarity, but then she cast her mind back and realised she must have fallen asleep while they were sharing tongues. Looked like Nightstrike had to.
With a grunt, the deputy got up and shook her pelt out. Nightstrike jolted as his headrest was removed and growled low in his throat, but Rainfur ignored him and headed out into the camp, pausing to stretch on the way. Once there she looked about and mentally clocked who was already up, and then almost immediately began barking orders. “Sandpelt, Sparrowdash, get your apprentices up and go hunting. Come on, we’re not going to eat if everyone just sits around and licks their bellies, are we? Icepaw, where’s Yellowthorn? Well go and get him then for the sake of StarClan, the patrol isn’t just going to magically do itself are they? Gorsefur… Gorsefur! You’re coming too. Yeah, well if you exercised it a bit, maybe it would heal quicker.” Rainfur sat down and curled her tail around her paws, watching as her orders unfolded. She flicked an ear as a cat came up to sir behind her, not needing to look to know it was Nightstrike… Very few other cats dared come near her without being invited.
“You can go on patrol at sunhigh.” She told him. “Pay close attention around ThunderClan… There’s something not quite right with them at the moment.” She would have said more, but her rather reluctant assembly of patrol warriors had finally come together. She looked at them; the nervous Icepaw, the sleepy Yellowthorn and Gorsefur with her exaggerated limp. “C’mon them you lot.” She said with a sigh. “Before the leader comes out and asks why we’re still here.” With no further ado she turned and trotted out of the camp, tail raised for the others to follow. She deliberately set a brisk pace, hoping that the exercise would shake some energy into her fellows, and after a short time they did seem to wake up and settle into the routine of patrols. It did not show in her demeanour, but the deputy was on-edge. There was something… Not quite right about the Clans at the moment, a sense of unrest that she could not quite put a whisker on, but that had troubled her for a short while. Nightstrike agreed with her, but though she had discussed it with the leader, there was nothing solid enough to do anything about. It frustrated her; she hated feeling powerless to deal with something.
She paused at the top of a small rise to let the others catch up and watched over them as they did so. They might be nervous or lazy or overly-dramatic, but they were her Clanmates all the same, and she would protect them against whatever uncertain peril was ahead.

Name: Crowstar Age: 58 moons Gender: She-cat Clan: Thunderclan Personality: Crowstar is a very calm, very collected cat. When it comes to most situations she is the last to panic and is more likely to get frustrated than frightened. She has a slow temper, hardly one to ever snap or yell. However, she holds onto grudges for a very long time. She is not known to forgive when hurt and can bring up arguments from many moons ago where she still feels wronged.
She is incredibly cheerful for such a calm cat, she rarely looks to the downside of things and tries her hardest to keep the mood of those around her up even if it is at the cost of her own dignity. She tends to be nicest towards apprentices or kits, believing the early moons of a cat’s life should be content and full of new exciting experiences, even if the ideal is delusional. On the other hand though, she does get a bit nervous around young apprentices or kits. She rarely visits the nursery if there are any new-borns out of fear her large size may accidentally hurt someone, she is fairly aware about her size and capabilities as a warriors and does not think she is being over cautious.
She can also be lazy, while she does her work and duties well she will never be the first cat awake and is usually the first to try to sleep. She passes time by laying out in the sun and uses her few chances at free time to do just that. She enjoys hunting though her strengths tend to lean more towards fighting, she enjoys the freedom being out of camp gives her. She does tend to go out alone to hunt often. She revels in taking walks alone and enjoys privacy even if that means having to sneak out in the morning to face a long night in her clan. Her recklessness comes in when she does want to be alone. She doesn't take into consideration that walking alone in the forest or near the borders could be dangerous and usually she's too focused in her thoughts to pay too much attention to that around her. Her legs can carry her far and she often ends up being farther away in her territory than she ever means too.
She is fiercely loyal to Thunderclan, as can be expected from the leader, being around her clan brings the best out in her. However, being around the foreign clans brings out her worse. She is very cold towards the other clans, not many would ever see her being happy during a gathering for she tends to be surly during these times. She takes the rivalry amongst the clans very seriously and much prefers to leave the other clans alone. She doesn't want them to know Thunderclan's business and she doesn't want to know theirs. She strongly believes in the idea that the clan is more important than any individual, she is willing to do whatever it may take to keep her clan strong.
Why your cat would be the perfect candidate: While Crowstar can be a bit solitary she still is a strong fighter and tends to her clan well, as a leader the clan would come above anything else. She is a mighty fighter and a level-headed leader. Throughout her youth she has been stubborn and cold but with age she has refined that into a calm nearly patient cat and with that she stands firmly in Thunderclan and against the other clans determined to give her clan a better reputation.
RP Sample: It was a chilly Leaf-fall morning, a breeze blew through camp carrying a sharper chill that promised a harsher Leaf-bare would be upon the cats any day now. Crowstar shook out her black and white fur trying to dismiss the feeling of uneasiness that had settled in her gut all night long. She had been the leader of her clan for nearly two seasons now and she still felt uncomfortable sleeping in her den. It still felt wrong to be in there, it was even worse that now the weather was getting colder she desperately missed the warmth of the warrior's den. It had happened more than once that she had been tempted to make a nest back in the old den but pride had kept her from that. She was a leader she could not let her clan think she was afraid of her own nest! Instead she found herself sleeping later and later, waking up early and leaving camp to go explore the heart of her territory.
Walking pass the many sleeping cats of her clan she started to head aimlessly into the territory. She loved her clanmates deeply but nothing calmed her weary body more than roaming around the familiar landscape of Thunderclan. She breathed in deeply, the smell of mud and wet grass hit her nose at once. She enjoyed mornings like this, it seemed even prey was still asleep for not one scent seemed out of place. She continued her one cat patrol until she found herself near the edge of the border. Her large white paws hovering near the edge of the scent line to Shadowclan.
She twitched her ears in annoyance, she was lucky there seemed to be no rival clans patrolling this part of the border, if she hadn't caught the strange scent of Shadowclan she could of daydreamed straight into their territory. Backing up slowly she turned tail and headed back towards her camp. She would not give Shadowclan any excuses to accuse Thunderclan of trespassing, she had enough fights with them already.
When she finally made it back to camp she noticed that some of the warrior were already awake and moving around, a few made their way to the apprentice's nests to start early morning training. "What was it this time? Were you out early or are you just coming back from last night?" Crowstar turned towards the direction of the voice, coming face to face with her mother Mouseflower. The old brown tabby was frowning and her disapproval was as obvious as the gray hairs around her muzzle. Crowstar stared back coolly, hiding surprise that her elderly mother was even moving in this kind of temperature.
"I was just out for an early walk. Thank you for your concern" she replied respectfully, leader or no she couldn't bring herself to disrespect her mother though the fur at her neck bristled with frustration. Would it hurt the elder to keep quiet? The brown she-cat placed her tail on her daughters shoulder, concern now reflecting in her amber eyes. "You need to sleep, my dear" She mewed carefully though Crowstar quickly shook her head, tail twitching in irritation. "I'm fine, I'm sure if I was sick the medicine cat would tell me." She cut Mouseflower off as she opened her mouth to speak again. "You're the one who should be resting, why don't you go lay down? I'll see if I can find an apprentice to get you moss. . .or maybe you can find a sunny patch. I got patrols to talk to about the clans." She spoke curtly before she turned around to go seek out her deputy, leaving Mouseflower's face looking hurt and even more concerned than before.

Name: Nightstalker Age: 38 moons Gender: Male Clan: Shadowclan Position: Deputy Personality: Nightstalker is a fierce, blood-loving cat. He loves the rush of adrenaline of fighting and shedding blood. Fighting is his favorite pastime, although he manages to keep his love of shedding blood to a minimum in order to keep his honor. "Battleborn" is the title he gave himself. Like you would guess, he has exceptional fighting skills and knows how and when to kill.
Despite being a great fighter, Nightstalker is a bit of a loner at heart. He finds peace in being by himself, and doesn't enjoy socializing as much as others do. Because of this, Nightstalker enjoys waking up in the middle of the night to go find some peace and quiet and tends to take naps during his free time throughout the day. Others might see him as mysterious because of these nocturnal tendencies.
Nightstalker's main weak spot is his view of himself. A monster is what he sees himself as; A coldblooded killer. He keeps his thoughts about himself a secret out of fear that they, too, will see him as he sees himself. His own mind is slowly killing him on the inside, and he doesn't know how to stop it. Driving him to a slow insanity, the thoughts continue to get worse, and he fears that one day they will push him over the edge. All of this is in his brain, but he would never let others know about the fears.
Why your cat would be the perfect candidate: Although Nightstalker is crumbling to insanity, he hides it well enough for others not to notice. The leader that appointed him as deputy would see him for what he is on the outside, a loyal, selfless warrior. He has the dominance and leadership in him for when the time comes and he has to take over.
RP Sample: The burning sun dipped beyond the horizon, sending the camp into a growing darkness. For most, this was the end of the day, but for Nightstalker, this was just the beginning. Shaking the dust off of his pelt, he emerged from the shadows of the tree and set out towards the tallest tree in ShadowClan territory.
The moon emerged from the blackness of the night sky as he approached the tree. Bunching his muscles, he leaped for the first branch of the tree, grasping on and stabilizing himself. Two leaps later and he found himself 10 feet above the ground. He didn’t dare glance down, but instead, lay across the thick branch.
His dim green eyes reflected the stars from the sky as he gazed towards the full moon in front of him. It seemed almost in his reach, but he knew it was far from him. Deep in his heart, Nightstalker knew his ancestors were watching the moon with him, maybe even walking on it. That was the beauty he found in the moon and the night; As much as he stared at it, he would never learn any more or any less of it. It was as mysterious as he was.
